Now that it’s March we’re in the swing of the new year, and coming up on the time last year that shutdowns began and all of our lives were drastically changed. Now, we’re returning to normalcy in some ways, with a long way to go before life is how we knew it a year ago. The fashion industry has been affected by the virus in tons of ways, from issues with production to the cancellation of fashion shows, but it’s still persevered. Some of the most popular styles in the past year have been loungewear and lingerie. With so many people staying at home, the need for formal workwear and party dresses simply isn’t what it used to be. This season’s definitely proving that just because an outfit is comfortable doesn’t mean it can’t be trendy or fashion forward.
Matching Cotton Bralettes and Underwear
These are a staple of any wardrobe that’s only gotten more popular. Soft, comfortable bralettes are a versatile choice that works for going out, sleeping, and just hanging out. These are totally reminiscent of the 90’s styles we talked about in last week’s post as well. There are tons of colors and patterns to choose from, so don’t be afraid to stray away from the blacks and neutrals you might be used to! We love this bright green set from TomboyX and this lavender one from Boy Smells.
With soft, romantic styles in shows like Bridgerton and Emma all the rage, it’s no surprise that we’re seeing lots of floral, lacy lingerie this year. These looks are often a twist on the looks of the 20s and 30s, and give off a timeless glamour. Soft silk sets like this one from MartelyStudio are comfortable while still looking trendy and cool. Another gorgeous look is from DaisyLingeries, whose creations are a unique combination of straps, lace, and mesh that look modern but use vintage aesthetics.
Bodysuits are another popular look that’s sure to stick around this year. With their ability to be worn on their own or worked into an outfit, the possibilities for them are truly endless. Of course some of our favorite bodysuits are from out own L Royalty. This comfortable pop-art inspired Vintage Magazine Bodysuit is great for a casual look, and the Pink Lace Bodysuit is perfect for a sexy, flattering style.
Silk Pajama Sets
Looking for cozy look that feels glamorous, even when you’re just in your PJs all day? Silk Pajama sets are exactly what you’re looking. They come in lots of styles and patterns so you’re sure to find one that speaks to you. This set from Summersalt comes in lots of fun patterns that are always being updates, and at only $22, this tie-dyed Target set is a great choice on a budget.
